RELEASE: Shannon Hutcheson Pledges to Take No Money from Corporate PACs

Austin, TX –– Today, the Shannon Hutcheson for Congress campaign announced that Shannon has pledged to not accept any corporate PAC money in her campaign.

“Congressman McCaul isn’t fighting for working families like the one I grew up in,” Shannon Hutcheson said. “Instead, McCaul caters to the Washington special interests whose corporate PACs have filled his campaign coffers with over $4.2 million dollars during his eight terms in Congress. McCaul voted for a massive corporate tax cut that included a $50 billion windfall for big drug companies, all while doing nothing to address the real challenges facing the working families he is supposed to represent. That’s why I’m taking the pledge to not accept corporate PAC money in my campaign. I’m proud that my campaign is powered by Texans because unlike Congressman McCaul, I’ll be accountable to the people of this district –– not the special interests.”

Guided by her progressive values, Shannon Hutcheson has built a successful career as a small business owner, advocate, community activist, and champion for women and families. To learn more about Shannon, visit her website:
